Women gathered in Rubkona County were encouraged to raise their voices and participate more actively in community leadership.

Speaking at the event, Mary Nyakui said women often face challenges silently and rarely receive recognition for their efforts.

She said events like International Women’s Day provide an opportunity for women to reflect on their achievements and push for greater equality.
